I love that the counter-culture of body modification has become socially acceptable.
It is unconsciously stimulating Neo-Tribalism by using the body as a canvas for artistic and individual expression.
Where the family and clan have been sabotaged by the guiding forces of modern society it has re-emerged in an explosion of color and connection. The difference being that today’s individual chooses it’s tribe instead of being born into one.
A person practices/experiences body modification, ritual without ritual .. right of passage without ceremony, experiencing elation and elevation. That is the source of connection.
This desire within the collective consciousness of human kind can not be stopped nor suppressed by those that enjoy the illusion of being in positions of power and control ..
