What Dodman House had the pleasure to witness with their eyes and ears, during their time watching Gareth Emery, he took no prisoners when he commanded the decks at Ampnesia. He went full force, taking the crowd on a great ride leaving no room for ill vibes! This was the best night we have attended so far at Ampnesia. Two standout moments for Dodman House, were Gareth tackling versions of DaRude's SandStorm and Da Hool's Love Parade. Gareth , hailing from England and being a part of the EDM scene since 2002 is a classically trained pianist. Although many label Gareth as Trance , he himself prefers not to be labeled, instead Gareth says he will spin a record of any genre as long as it is good. Gareth Emery to us, was better than good, he was great.
DJ Mondo
DJ Mondo, one of Ampnesia's fine residents and a Tampa legend, was glorious in his opening up for Gareth Emery ( We missed DJ Haf who we hear was sensational), to prepare them for Gareth Emery. Mondos take on old school and house is always fresh in the moment and the sound crisp and clean with just enough bass vibing through the body tone after tone. Mondo is a true professional and worked us up into a dancing frenzy the entire set with no room for any disapppointment!
We thank Mondo along with all of the Ampnesia residents, Haf, Craze and Santana for bringing a night to Ybor that we want to be a part of again and again.
We highly recommend you take time to check it out when traveling through Ybor City on a Thursday night as we believe this event is taking shape to be one of the most talked about in Tampa for 2012 and beyond.
